The DJ, whose real name is Tony Cook, was signed to the record label, Circus Records, and was known for his tracks like Ruff and Blurgh.

The news of Tony’s death was broken to the public yesterday by Circus Label. They took to Twitter to release a statement. They wrote:
“Our beloved Tony Cook (aka Cookie Monsta) has left us. We are devastated. No words can contain our feelings on such a day. All of our thoughts go to Tony’s family, friends, and our heart especially goes out to Tony’s son Olly, the Mini Monsta.
The world will miss you Cookie. We will miss you, brother.”

Last year May, Cookie canceled his shows so he could take some time to focus on his mental health. He shared in a Facebook Post: “For the past year, I’ve been struggling with mental health issues, over the past week and month, this has become harder than ever.
“I’ve not been online recently as I’ve been trying to work through my problems away from the glare of social media.” Unfortunately, I’ve not made as much progress as I’d hoped, so I’ve decided that I need to take a longer break from the scene.”
Later that year in August, he reassured his fans that he was “in a better place.”
The cause of his death has not been revealed yet. In their statement, they said they will “hold off on commenting any further until deemed appropriate” out of respect for Tony’s family.
Meanwhile, his fans and fellow tributes have been paying their tributes to him on Twitter.
KOVEN tweeted about their devastation about Cookie’s death saying and said that he was “always so much fun to be around” and that he “had a wonderful and caring soul.”
