Following the death of the ruling Emir of Kuwait, Emir Sheikh Sabah, Queen Elizabeth’s son Prince Charles, and her grandson Prince William send their condolences.
Prince William was heartbroken on hearing the news. He said, “I was saddened to hear of the passing of His Highness Sheikh Sabah al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah.”
The Duke reminisced his first meeting with the late Emir. He considered it a privilege. “I was privileged to meet His Highness during my visit to Kuwait last year and know that he will be fondly remembered for his global humanitarian efforts and commitments towards regional peace.”
Prince Charles had visited Kuwait twice on behalf of the British government. He recounts the Emir’s humanitarian works and efforts to attain peace in his region. he says, “His kindness towards me for so many years will never be forgotten.”

Queen Elizabeth, on Wednesday, expressed her sadness over the death of the Emir. Queen Elizabeth and the late Emir were great friends, and she says she deeply valued the friendship.
The Emir, who was a 91-old-ruler, died in a hospital in the United States on Tuesday. He had been receiving medical treatment in Minnesota since July.
His half-brother, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, was named the new Emir of Kuwait on Tuesday and was sworn in on Wednesday.
