Sarah McBride has made history and becomes a Senate in the Delaware State, the only Transgender Woman to become a senator in the US.
The 30-year-old Sarah is also the one who has elected officials as a Transgender in the nation with the highest ranking.
Along with all the precincts reporting, McBride has defeated Steve Washington, her opponent, by 73% to 27%.
After her win on Tuesday, she tweeted: “I hope tonight shows an LGBTQ kid that our democracy is big enough for them, too.”
The campaign of Human Rights, which has McBride as a spokesperson in it, took on Twitter and congratulated her.
They wrote: “We’re so proud of you for this historic win.”
Besides this, McBride has made history, but this is not her first time to complete so.
The lady was interned with the administration of former President Barack Obama in 2012 and become the first transgender woman openly to work in the White House.
