Shanghai’s 5-Story Building Moved On New Location!!!
Shanghai, in October, resident passing through the east of city upon an unusual site have stumbled: a “walking” building.
CNN reported: “An 85-year-old primary school has been lifted off the ground — in its entirety — and relocated using new technology dubbed the ‘walking machine’.”
“In the city’s latest effort to preserve historic structures, engineers attached nearly 200 mobile supports under the five-story building, according to Lan Wuji, chief technical supervisor of the project.”
The support which was used worked like it is the robotic legs. The legs were divided into two groups, which were going up and down alternatively like a human system. The sensors which were attached was helping the plan to move the building.
Lan, who has the company Shanghai Evolution Shift which has developed a new technology in 2018, said: “It’s like giving the building crutches so it can stand up and then walk.”
In 18 days the building of Shanghai was moved 203 feet (62 Meters) from its original location.
The process for relocation was completed on the 15th of November, and the school building became the centre for cultural education and heritage protection.
