Donald Trump, US President on September 23, Wednesday, clearly refused to guarantee that if he loses the US election in November, he will transfer power.
After asking in a press conference in a White House, whether he is committed to the peaceful handover of President of power upon a change, Trump said, “Well, we’re going to have to see what happens.”
Within his party, his statement elicited scorn from Joe Biden, his Democratic challenger who was from his party even.
Biden said when asked about Trump’s comment by reporters that reads: “What country are we in? Look, he says the most irrational things. I don’t know what to say.”
Trump tweeted, “Fundamental to democracy is the peaceful transition of power; without that, there is Belarus.”
