Love Island star Zara McDermott publicly admits she cheated on Made in Chelsea Star, Sam Thompson. She released an emotional statement on her Instagram story, feeling remorse for what she had done, and issuing a heartfelt apology to Sam. This event comes after recent claims of her cheating have been surfacing on social media. She’s remained quiet until now.
Zara broke her silence on Thursday night, addressing her 1.4million followers. In the message, the 23-year-old begged her ex, Sam Thompson, 28, for forgiveness after cheating on him with “someone in the music industry” during her time on X-Factor: Celebrity a year ago; she also declared her love for him. She wrote: “Hey everyone, I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media.
“A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light, and I want to face this head-on.
“I don’t condone being unfaithful, and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature. I believe I have learned so much from my mistake.
“I want to apologize to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger, and the hurt.
“All I want to do is make this right, and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you.
“I love you Sam. Forever.”
The pair had been together for 16 months before Sam split from her in August — after finding out about the affair.
